With Kungsholmen in the west and Östermalm in the east, the sublocality of Norrmalm is located in Stockholm’s most central parts. On Norrmalm you can find many of the places that really makes Stockholm a fantastic capital. In the southern part of the area lies the grand Grand Hôtel and beautiful Kungsträdgården. In the North you will find S:t Eriksplan, Odenplan and the popular Vasastaden. Here you find nice restaurants and bars that attract guests both day and night. Rörstrandsgatan is perhaps Vasastan’s most popular street with a wide range of cafes and shops where pedestrians get free rein in the summer when car traffic is temporarily closed. In Vasaparken you are also given the opportunity to relax in nice green areas.

On Norrmalm there are several attractions and places that attract both tourists as locals. If you move here, you will probably run past the classic Norrmalm square or the NK department store. A short walk from the central station you will find more shopping in Åhléns major shopping mall. There is really something for everyone, and if the life at sea is your weakness, then you can easily reach Strömkajen where the ferry is waiting for the next trip into the archipelago

Norrmalm is one of Stockholm’s most attractive areas, which has made it difficult to find housing here. Housing prices have been rising in the last few years and aparments often cost over SEK 100,000 per square meter. If you are looking to rent an apartment in Norrmalm, you can increase your chances of getting a rental contract by starting to look ahead of time. Generally, the queue time for a tenancy agreement in Stockholm’s inner city may be well over 10 years. This calls for long-term planning and sustained efforts to succeed in finding a rental apartment here.
